Way of life!!!

Here I am waiting to join my job, sitting idle, wasting away precious time doing virtually nothing but then it is a phase of life. I am missing all my friends at college but then that is the way of life.

We are born into a family with whom we live for about 19 to 20 years after which we move out either for studies or after getting married. This is one of the saddest parting in ones life but then it is a way of life with almost everyone.

So is the case with our childhood friends as well as our school and college friends. They become an important part of our life and when the time of parting come we always wonder how we will lead on without them. We feel as though it will not be possible to go on without them the family, the friends but then we live on.

We go ahead making new friends and sometimes lucky enough to get one of our old friends to be part of our new job or place. But then that is the way of life with its ups and downs, the laughter and the tears the spices of life.

Our plans Vs Gods

I had always planned or had always dreamed that my childhood playmate Neet would be one of my bridesmaid for my wedding. As I was the eldest among the three of us that is Neet, my sis Mariya and myself. We were childhood friends and had always done almost everything together and so leading to my dream of her being a bridesmaid as I was naturally going to be the first one to be married of.

But it seemed God certainly had other plans because Neet got married before me and to top it we , my sister and myself ,were not able to attend her wedding as we were out of town and could no way make it. The day of her wedding was one of the saddest and happiest days of my life. Sad because I was not there for her on that special day of hers. We had always simply assumed that each of us would be there for one other on such important days of our lives and also because it was not happening as I had planned ( so much for making plans). Happy because my dear childhood friend was getting married to someone she loved and was in a way getting her dream come true.

This proved that everything need not turn out as we plan or dream and that God certainly has the last say !!!!! (pssst... and I have not got married yet....)

Echoes

I have just finished reading the book 'Echoes' by Danilelle Steel. I have read many of her works earlier but I liked this one very much because there was a certain maturity in her writing in this book unlike the others which I have read and have never found. Another one of her literary work which I have read and liked is 'Accidents' which has a similar genre of maturity to it.

Now that I think of both the stories I can see a similarity between the two that is both potray the emotions of women and the bond between mother and daughter. In Echoes she has potrayed the character of Ameada who is a strong , courageous, compassionate women and her mom Beata and their relationship. In Accident she has shown the relationship between a mother and daughter and how the determination and faith of a mother helps in bringing back her daughter from the coma state that her daughter had fallen into after an accident.

A blank canvas awaiting to be filled.............the random thoughts which seldom stop.....a spark
